Competition Rules and Regulations
Competition Rules
- Open to all individuals, students of schools, colleges, recognized Yoga Institutions & yoga practitioners.
- Competition will be conducted strictly as per rules laid down by the organizers.
- Judges' decision shall be final and binding.
- Participants with serious or chronic medical conditions are advised not to participate.
Dress Code
- Male participants: Bottom (half shorts) only.
- Female participants: Round-neck T-shirt with tights/leggings.
- No bangles, chains, rings, watches, or accessories during performance.
Event Format
- Duration: Maximum 3 minutes per event.
- Basic Categories:
- 3 compulsory asanas from the prescribed chart.
- 2 asanas of the participant's own choice.
- Champion Round:
- 3 asanas of the participant's own choice.
- Champion of Champions Round:
- 2 compulsory asanas from the prescribed chart.
- 1 asana of the participant's own choice.
- Separate entry fee will be applicable for each event.
- Male and Female winners will be judged separately based on graded marks for selection.

- Forward Bending Asanas – Individual
- Backward Bending Asanas – Individual
- Twisting Asanas – Individual
- Hand Balance Asanas – Individual
- Leg Balance Asanas – Individual
- Inverted Asanas – Individual
Champion Round
- Forward Asanas – Individual
- Backward Asanas – Individual
- Twisting Asanas – Individual
- Leg Balance Asanas – Individual
- Hand Balance Asanas – Individual
Champion of Champions Round
- Forward Asanas – Individual
- Backward Asanas – Individual
- Twisting Asanas – Individual
- Leg Balance Asanas – Individual
- Hand Balance Asanas – Individual
Note: Participants may register for one or more categories by paying separate entry fees for each event, including Individual, Pair and Group events.
Scoring & Prize Criteria (For Each Asana)
Marks will be awarded based on: Posture | Balance | Breathing | Steadiness
- 9–10 → 1st Prize
- 7–8 → 2nd Prize
- 5–6 → 3rd Prize
- 4 → 4th Prize
- 3 → 5th Prize
(No consolation prizes)
Overall Prize (Total Marks)
- 130 & above → 1st Prize
- 105 & above → 2nd Prize
- 80 & above → 3rd Prize
- 60 & above → 4th Prize
- 45 & above → 5th Prize
Winner & Runner-Up Prize: Winner and Runner-Up prizes will be awarded to participants only in the Champion Round and Champion of Champions Round.
Entrance Fee & Registration
- Entry Fee: Rs. 600 per participant for each Individual event.
- Entry Fee: Rs. 1,000 per participant for each Champion Round event.
- Entry Fee: Rs. 1,200 per participant for each Champion of Champions Round event.
- Please Note: Late fee will be charged for spot registrations. Participants are requested to register in advance.
- Registration must be completed on or before the announced last date.
- Once paid, the registration fee is non-refundable.
- Even if participants register as a Pair or Group, each participant must complete and submit the registration form separately.

Note: Age categories for Champion Round and Champion of Champions Round are different. Please refer to the official age chart.
Special Note
- Participants in the Below 6 Years and 56 & Above categories will not have any compulsory chart.
- They may perform asanas of their own choice.
General Rules
- Participants must report at least 30 minutes before their scheduled reporting time.
- No external props or support will be allowed unless specifically permitted by the organizers.
- Mobile phones, music or electronic devices are not permitted in the performance area unless officially required.
- Any misconduct or argument with judges will result in immediate disqualification.
- Participants must carry a valid ID proof and produce it for verification if required by the Jury.
Recognition & Selection
- Grade 2 Certificate will be awarded to District winners.
- Grade 1 Certificate will be awarded to State winners.
- Form 2 Certificate will be awarded to all participants.
- All winners will receive Certificates and Prizes.
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize winners will be selected progressively from District → State → National → International Yoga Competitions.
- Winner and Runner-Up of the Champion Round and Champion of Champions Round will both be selected for the National Yoga Competition.
Note: The organizers reserve the right to amend, modify or interpret any of the above rules and regulations whenever necessary.
